Terminal Operative

London Aggregates Terminal is a young and dynamic company based at the Port of Tilbury. We specialise in the handling and processing of high-quality aggregates for the construction and infrastructure sectors. As we continue to expand, we are looking for a motivated and hands-on Terminal Operative to help drive the growth and efficiency of our terminal operations.

• Coordinate the logistics of aggregate deliveries and shipments by road and vessel.
• Operate the weighbridge and ensure accurate documentation of loads.
• Carry out quality inspections on incoming materials and during the screening/crushing process.
• Support and/or conduct product audits to maintain compliance standards.
• Organise and supervise maintenance activities for terminal equipment and machinery.
• Liaise with customers regarding scheduling and site access.
• Operate loading machinery (e.g. wheel loader) when required.

• A hands-on, proactive, and reliable team player.
• Flexibility regarding working hours and duties.
• The ability to work independently and take initiative.
• Previous experience within construction materials, logistics, or infrastructure industries.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• Relevant plant or machinery certificates (e.g. loading shovel licence) are advantageous.
• Experience within a port or terminal environment is desirable.
