Bremanger Quarry is one of the largest open-pit quarries in Norway, producing high-quality sandstone for customers around the world. Located in the spectacular coastal region of Bremanger, our operation combines large-scale industrial production with a strong commitment to sustainability and environmental responsibility.

Our production process is truly unique. By utilizing gravitational energy to transport and crush stone, we generate surplus electrical power that is returned to the local energy grid. With direct access to deep-water quay facilities capable of handling some of the world’s largest bulk carriers, we are strategically positioned to serve global markets while maintaining efficient and sustainable operations.

We are now looking for an experienced and hands-on Technical Foreman to lead our maintenance team and play a key role in ensuring the reliability, safety, and continuous improvement of our production facilities.

About the Role

As Technical Foreman, you will play a key role in keeping our operation running at its best. This is a hands-on leadership position where you will combine practical maintenance work with team coordination, technical problem-solving, and continuous improvement initiatives.

You will work closely with the Technical Engineer and Technical Manager to ensure maintenance activities and projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.

How You’ll Make an Impact

Lead the Team Forward

  • Lead and support the daily activities of the maintenance team.
  • Plan, prioritize, and coordinate maintenance tasks and project work.
  • Monitor progress and ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and to the required standard.
  • Foster a positive team culture built on collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Lead by example through active participation in day-to-day maintenance activities.

Keep Our Operation Running at Its Best

  • Perform hands-on maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, and installations across the site.
  • Support technical projects and operational improvement initiatives.
  • Identify and communicate requirements for materials, spare parts, tools, and equipment to ensure timely availability.
  • Work proactively to improve equipment reliability and operational performance.
  • Contribute technical expertise to help minimize downtime and optimize production.

Champion Safety, Quality and Sustainability

  • Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with company HSE standards and safe working practices.
  • Conduct and verify risk assessments before work commences.
  • Promote a strong safety culture and proactively identify opportunities to improve workplace safety.
  • Monitor completed work and report any quality issues or deviations.
  • Maintain clean, organized, and professional work areas.
  • Support Bremanger Quarry’s commitment to sustainable and environmentally responsible operations.

Work Closely with Technical Leadership

  • Provide regular updates on maintenance activities, technical challenges, and project progress.
  • Communicate effectively with the Technical Engineer and Technical Manager to align priorities and resources.
  • Ensure maintenance records and documentation are completed accurately and on time.
  • Contribute to planning and continuous improvement discussions across the operation.

What You’ll Bring

We are looking for a hands-on leader who combines technical expertise with a proactive and safety-focused mindset.

Ideally, you will have:

  • A technical trade qualification, apprenticeship, or equivalent technical education.
  • Experience in industrial maintenance within quarrying, mining, manufacturing, processing, or another heavy industry environment.
  • Proven ability to lead, coordinate, and motivate teams in a practical operational setting.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and a solid understanding of mechanical and/or electrical systems.
  • Good knowledge of HSE requirements and a commitment to safe working practices.
  • Strong communication skills in Norwegian and English, with the ability to collaborate effectively across the organization.
