Expansion A1 East highway – Heijmans

Heijmans Infra was commissioned by Rijkswaterstaat to widen the A1 highway. Over a stretch of 14 km between Apeldoorn and Twello, the highway was widened to 2×3 and 2×4 lanes to improve traffic flow.

For this route, Graniet Import Amsterdam supplied high-quality aggregates Bestone® - known for its homogeneity, hardness and skid resistance - in different fractions. The aggregates were delivered by barge to the asphalt plants and used in asphalt mixtures for heavily loaded road sections on the renewed route.
