Powering the future of Ukraine with renewable energy
Bontrup Ukraine LLC has applied to the Ukraine Partnership Facility (UPF) after we started the development of our own biogas plant with our Ukrainian partner Zorg Biogas GmbH last June. An important milestone for our company and the provision of renewable energy solutions to Ukraine. An example of recycling residual products from our own harvest.

With 17 years of experience in Ukraine in agriculture, commodity trading, building complex infrastructure, power generation during grid failures and experienced biogas production experts, we believe this project is a crucial step toward a more resilient energy future for the country.

Bontrup Agriculture is committed to supporting Ukraine's recovery, energy independence and economic development through biogas-based electricity production. Investing in biogas and submitting the UPF grant program is part of Bontrup Ukraine's long-term investment plan.
Why is this project important:
- Electricity for 7,300 households → Power shortages continue to disrupt daily life, businesses, schools and essential services. Reliable energy is the foundation of Ukraine's reconstruction efforts-without it, reconstruction efforts cannot move forward;
- Sustainable Circular Agriculture → Our plant will use non-competitive raw materials such as manure and corn stover, ensuring sustainability without reducing food production;
- Strengthen local farmers → create new income streams, strengthen the rural economy and ensure long-term economic resilience
