A4/A13 highways - Rotterdamsebaan BAM Infra

Contractor BAM Infra Nederland (as part of the Combinatie Rotterdamsebaan) realized a new 4 km long access road between the A4 and A13 highways and the Center Ring of The Hague, including the drilled 'Victory Boogie Woogie Tunnel' under urban buildings. A large section of the Rotterdamsebaan is paved with 'silent asphalt'. This reduces traffic noise for the surrounding area.

For this prestigious project, Graniet Import Amsterdam supplied Bestone® aggregates in various sizes. The aggregates were delivered Just-in-Time by barge to the asphalt plants and applied in the various asphalt mixtures. Bestone® is known for its homogeneity, hardness and high roughness, making it very suitable for high-end road surface applications.
