Armour rock for the Maldives

For various coastal projects in the Maldives, Bontrup Logistics delivered more than 650,000 tons of hydraulic engineering stone to its client Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC).

The rock armour was produced in various grades up to about 3 tons at our partner quarry Stevin Rock in Ras al Khaimah, and transported to the port of Mina Saqr. Bontrup's bulk carrier mv Bontrup Maldives then loaded this rock on board with its specialized rock grabs.

In the Maldives, the stone was loaded directly onto customer stone pontoons at various locations, after which it was installed on the job. Using this method, 40,000 tons were successfully delivered monthly over several seasons.
