Elbe River Germany - Widegrade® retaining dams

As part of the Elbe RIver deepening works, Bontrup Logistics supplied approximately 1.2 million tons of Widegrade® to various contractors including Jan de Nul. This material was used for the construction of underwater retaining dams behind which the dredged material from the Elbe River is stored.

The Widegrade® was produced in Bremanger Quarry and transported to Germany by Bontrup's self-unloading vessels, after which it was transshipped to contractor's installation vessels via ship-to-ship transfer.
