Foundation APM terminal Tangier - Morocco

For APM Terminals' new container terminal in Tangier, Morocco, realized by Willemen Group, Bontrup Logistics supplied more than 500,000 tons of sub-base material for the concrete-bonded foundation (CTB) of the container platform.

The material was brought in by Bontrup's large self-unloading bulk carriers of about 100,000 tons. Using the conveyor belt system, the material was placed directly on site. Thanks to the high quality of the sub-base, the logistical scale and the close cooperation with Willemen Group, the terminal foundation could be constructed as per schedule.
