Canada, West White Rose Platform

The West White project project is a large-scale offshore development off the coast of Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada. A concrete platform (GBS) is being built as an extension of the existing White Rose field. Bontrup Logistics supplied high-density rock to Van Oord, for ballasting and controlled immersion of the GBS.

The stone was delivered by the self-unloading belt vessel Yeoman Bontrup and then transferred ship-to-ship to Van Oord's installation vessels. This continuous and accurate delivery process allowed Van Oord to ballast and position the GBS on schedule.
