We are looking for a controller (ft)
You will join the finance team. The finance team consists of approximately 35 people and is led by our CFO. The entities have their own local finance experts. A number of colleagues also work at Holding level.The Controller will be working from the Bontrup Office in Amsterdam. The Controller will work together with a local Bookkeepers and Group Controllers within the Bontrup Group. The Controller will be reporting to the CFO.
Activities
As a Controller, you are responsible for preparing, analyzing and controlling the financial results of the various American entities. You can switch quickly between various tasks, and set the right priorities. You manage your workload in a correct and timely matter. You are transparent, and communicate often and open. You like a dynamic environment where no day is the same. In addition, you are actively involved in the business.
As a Controller you are:
– Functionally managing the financial administration of the relevant entities
– Preparing and checking internal reports on a monthly / annual basis
– Preparing budgets/outlooks
– Maintaining balance sheet- and permanent files
– The point of contact for various local bookkeepers
– Preparing the external audits
– Ensure correct tax deduction / payment
– Contributing to various ad hoc business projects
– Creating (financial) transparency internally as well as externally
– Making sure the financial administration is up to date at all times
Candidate profile
• Studied Accountancy or Business Economics (Bachelor degree)
• Around 5 years of relevant work experience gained in (international) business or in audit practice at an accounting firm.
• Energetic and “can do” mentality
• Practical attitude, strong communication skills and pro-active, no-nonsense mentality
• Accurate, good analytical skills, independent, flexible, team player
• Process thinker
• Decisive personality who is not afraid to approach people
• Knowledge of IT, preferably Office 365, MS Dynamics, Atlas XL, consolidation software Oracle HFM and MS Office (Excel)
• Fluent in English
